Animo Sano Psychiatry team is growing. We’re excited to welcome our new HR Manager, Nicholas Morrow! We had the pleasure to talk with Nicholas about his life and experience and learn more about what motivated him to become a part of our team. Here’s Nicholas’s inspiring story.
1. What inspired you to pursue a career in mental healthcare and what brought you to Animo Sano Psychiatry?
This will be my first experience working in the mental healthcare industry Professionally, but mental health has made a major impact on me personally so I am very excited to contribute to such an impactful and often overlooked industry. I originally applied to the position because it fit my skill set, but learning more about Animo Sano solidified my decision to work for such a great organization.
2. What motivates you?
I am motivated by assisting the employees of the company become the best versions of
themselves, and finding the best fit for them to both help the individuals and the company succeed.
3. Tell us something about you that would surprise us?
It wasn’t for very long, but I became a professional golfer after college.
4. What words of wisdom do you live by?
I have a couple actually…
For motivation – One Day or Day One
Putting things off you, people tend to say “One Day” I will do this, or that. But Day One means
you are beginning, whatever it is, at least you have started.
For professional (and personal)– A tough truth is better than an easy lie.
5. Share any volunteer or charity efforts you’re involved in
I have 2 nephews and really enjoy volunteering to help with their sports programs, coaching,
fishing, etc. I work with First Tee, whose efforts are to introduce golf to the inner city, provide
equipment, and lessons.
