What We Offer

Mental health conditions are among the most undertreated health concerns for adults over 65. Research from the National Institute of Mental Health estimates that between 15 and 25 percent of older adults experience a behavioral health condition, and that nearly 60 percent of those individuals never receive any form of treatment.

That gap is something we are committed to closing.
Our care for older adults is built around your specific needs and life stage, not a one-size-fits-all approach

Medication Management

Our psychiatric providers carefully evaluate your symptoms, health history, and any current medications before recommending or adjusting psychiatric medications. We take a thorough, cautious approach when working with older adults, keeping your whole health picture in mind. This includes assessing drug interactions, age-related metabolism changes, and cumulative side effect burden to reduce risk and improve tolerability.

Psychotherapy

Talk-based care can be profoundly effective at any age. Our therapists offer individual psychotherapy to help you process grief and loss, build coping strategies, manage anxiety, work through past trauma, and reconnect with a sense of purpose and meaning.

Telehealth Appointments

No driving required. Our telehealth appointments let you meet with a provider by secure video from home, an accessible and comfort-first approach that removes barriers many older adults face when seeking care. All you need is a smartphone, tablet, or computer.

Comprehensive Intake and Evaluation

New patients receive a thorough psychiatric evaluation, including quality-of-life and functional status assessments tailored to older adults. This helps us understand your full picture before recommending a treatment plan

Note: We do not have a geriatric psychiatry or memory care program and do not evaluate or treat dementia, significant cognitive impairment, or conditions requiring caregiver-directed medical decision-making.

Conditions We Commonly Treat in Older Adults

Our psychiatry services for older adults are designed for individuals aged 65 and older who are managing their own healthcare decisions and can attend telehealth appointments independently.

Common mental health concerns we work with include:

Are you looking for care for a parent or loved one?

If your family member is 65 or older, manages their own healthcare decisions, and is comfortable using a smartphone, tablet, or computer, they may be a good fit for our telehealth services. We encourage you to reach out; our team is happy to help you figure out the next steps.

We treat a wide range of behavioral health conditions in adults 65 and older, including depression, anxiety, trauma and PTSD, bipolar disorder, sleep disorders, ADHD, and adjustment difficulties related to grief, retirement, or major life transitions.

No. Our program is designed for older adults with intact decision-making capacity who are managing common psychiatric conditions such as depression, anxiety, mood disorders, and sleep difficulties. We are not a geriatric psychiatry or memory care program and do not evaluate or treat dementia, significant cognitive impairment, or conditions requiring caregiver-directed medical decision-making. If you or a loved one is experiencing memory concerns, we recommend speaking with a neurologist or your primary care physician for an appropriate referral.

Our services are best suited for older adults who manage their own healthcare decisions, do not have a power of attorney or surrogate decision-maker for medical care, and are able to use a smartphone, tablet, or computer to attend telehealth appointments independently. If you are unsure whether your family member is a good fit, call us at 919-391-7202 and our team can help you determine the best next step.
