Thriving With ADHD Podcast – Special Edition – Need a Better Access to Behavioral Health Care? The Collaborative Care Model Could Be The Solution
Mina Boazak, MD
Welcome to the special edition of the Thriving with ADHD dear ADHD community. Today we are talking about Collaborative Care Model with our program director Jennifer Street. In our mission to provide accessible care for all behavioral health patients, we are always looking into innovative solutions.
The Collaborative Care Model is a relatively new concept that basically means providing behavioral health care treatment to patients in the primary care setting. It allows for integrative care between primary care providers, care managers, behavioral health specialists, and patients.
The best thing of all is it shortens waiting times, improves patient outcomes and general well-being, reduces care costs, and physician burnout and turnover.
To us, it sounds like a win-win situation for everyone.
