The Collaborative Care Model at Animo Sano Psychiatry is a comprehensive program to improve access to behavioral healthcare and improve patient outcomes.
The program is an evidence-based multi-component intervention design, allowing for integrative care between primary care providers, behavioral health specialists, and patients. It has a patient-centered and team-based approach, providing a one-stop shop with a typical collaborative care model.
It is reimbursable by Medicare, BCBS, and many other insurances. The program provides better clinical outcomes, reduces healthcare costs, decreases medical spending on outpatient psychiatric services, decreases emergency room visits and inpatient admissions, and improves access to behavioral healthcare. It also improves the quality of life, prevents or improves the management of chronic health conditions, decreases disability and absenteeism from work, and has a positive impact on social and economic growth.
