Nada

Event: Adults With ADHD Education Group Meetup
Date & Time: Tuesday, 16 June — 5:00 PM ET
Guest Speaker: Jason McDaid, Founder of The 78% Club
Join us for a powerful conversation with Jason McDaid, founder of The 78% Club, as we explore the connection between ADHD, imposter syndrome, and Hidden Cognitive Strain.
For years, Jason built a successful career as a fire engineer while quietly believing he was about to be “found out.” It wasn’t until receiving an ADHD diagnosis just before turning 50 that many of his lifelong struggles finally began to make sense.
In this interactive meetup, we’ll discuss the hidden mental and emotional effort many people expend trying to keep up appearances, compensate for challenges, and avoid being exposed as “not good enough.”
Main Points We’ll Cover:
- The connection between ADHD and imposter syndrome
- Why successful people often struggle with self-doubt
- The concept of Hidden Cognitive Strain and how it shows up in everyday life
- The emotional impact of late ADHD diagnosis
- Coping, masking, perfectionism, and overcompensation
- Practical insights for anyone who feels they’re working harder than everyone else just to stay afloat
About the guest speaker
Jason McDaid is a fire engineer, speaker, and founder of The 78% Club, an initiative dedicated to helping professionals understand and overcome imposter syndrome and hidden cognitive strain.
After spending more than thirteen years building a successful engineering career while privately struggling with self-doubt and feelings of inadequacy, Jason received an ADHD diagnosis just before turning 50. The diagnosis helped him make sense of many lifelong challenges and inspired him to begin speaking openly about the hidden mental and emotional effort many people expend to appear capable and successful.
Today, Jason delivers workshops and talks for business owners, entrepreneurs, and professionals in demanding roles, helping them recognize the impact of imposter syndrome, perfectionism, and hidden cognitive strain. Through his work, he encourages people to move from self-criticism and isolation toward greater self-understanding and confidence.
This session is ideal for adults who:
Whether you have ADHD, support someone who does, or simply relate to feelings of self-doubt despite outward success, this session offers an opportunity to learn, reflect, and connect with others who understand.
We hope you’ll join us.
