Dr. Naqvi’s academic and professional journey began in upstate New York. He earned his BS from the University at Albany with a focus on Neurobiology, Psychology, and Criminal Justice. He attended medical school at Upstate Medical University in Syracuse and completed his residency at Emory University in Atlanta. His deep interest in the nexus of law and mental health led him to a Forensic Psychiatry Fellowship at Yale University.
Dr. Naqvi continues to contribute to the field of psychiatry with his comprehensive clinical practice and scholarly dedication. Currently, he holds a position as a Clinical Instructor at the Yale School of Medicine's Department of Psychiatry. Additionally, he provides psychiatric services in two notable institutions — as the Medical Director of Performance Psychiatry New York and as a Forensic Psychiatrist for the Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services.
