Brenda Mullis, LCSW, is a clinical Social Worker with 20 years of experience in the mental health field. She began her career in group home settings, serving individuals with severe and persistent mental illness. Her journey continued in the medical field, where she provided support and resources to those struggling with chronic illness. These early experiences allowed her to develop the skill set necessary to create a safe, nurturing, non-judgmental environment and to meet her patients where they are at.
Brenda treats a range of conditions including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and a number of other behavioral health issues. In her treatment, she uses various therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), mindfulness-based (MBCT), and strength-based therapy. Her approach to care is to create and foster a safe and culturally sensitive environment where her patients feel comfortable enough to process the issues they are facing.
Brenda firmly believes that everyone deserves to feel comfortable in their own skin. She enjoys helping people discover their strengths and is devoted to assisting her patients in achieving a sense of well-being, helping them reach their fullest potential and lead happier, healthier lives.
