Advancing Accessible Behavioral Health: Our Experience at the CFHA Conference
Jennifer Street

This year’s Collaborative Family Healthcare Association (CFHA) Conference brought together clinicians, innovators, and advocates focused on strengthening how behavioral health care is delivered across the country. For both Animo Sano Psychiatry and Concert Health, it was an opportunity to reaffirm a shared mission: expanding access to integrated, compassionate mental health care through strong partnership with primary care.
A Shared Commitment to Integrated Care
As active members of CFHA, our teams participated in discussions and sessions that highlighted a core truth we see every day, collaboration between primary care and behavioral health providers leads to better outcomes. The conference underscored the importance of addressing health inequities, expanding access in underserved areas, and building sustainable systems that put patients first.

Animo Sano Psychiatry’s Purpose-Driven Approach
At Animo Sano Psychiatry, our “why” is simple: behavioral health must be accessible, coordinated, and treated as an essential part of whole-person care. Through the Collaborative Care Model (CoCM), we work closely with primary care practices to provide psychiatric consultation, medication management support, and behavioral health expertise that help patients receive the right level of care, without long waits or fragmented pathways.
Our collaboration with Concert Health strengthens that mission. Together, we bridge gaps that have historically left patients without support, creating seamless pathways between primary care and behavioral health so people receive timely, connected, evidence-based care when they need it most.
Why CFHA Matters
The CFHA Conference served as an important reminder that expanding integrated care, especially in rural, underserved, or resource-limited communities, requires teamwork, innovation, and a shared vision for what behavioral health access should look like. Being part of CFHA allows our organizations to stand alongside others committed to building stronger, more equitable systems of care.

Moving Forward, Together
Through our ongoing partnership, Animo Sano Psychiatry and Concert Health continue working toward a future where behavioral health care is embedded, seamless, and equitable. By bringing psychiatry, psychotherapy, and primary care together, we make it possible for patients to access high-quality mental health support without barriers.
