Animo Sano Psychiatry team is growing. We’re excited to welcome our new Administrative Assistant, Colleen Sauer! We had the pleasure to talk with Colleen about her life and experience and learn more about what motivated her to become a part of our team. Here’s Colleen’s inspiring story.
1. What inspired you to pursue a career in mental healthcare and what brought you to Animo Sano Psychiatry?
Having friends with mental health issues and seeing what they went through.
2. What motivates you?
I am motivated by my family, friends and a job well done.
3. Tell us something about you that would surprise us?
Having worked for a mental health practice for over 9 years, I found it very rewarding. Working with doctors, patients and insurance companies was both challenging and gratifying. Since being out of the field of mental health, I am extremely anxious to resume working again in the area.
4. What words of wisdom do you live by?
Be kind, compassionate and non-judgmental.
5. Share any volunteer or charity efforts you’re involved in.
I donate food and/or household products to an organization known as Porch to
distribute to needy families in our area. Due to limited time, I donate monetarily to many organizations.
