Thriving With ADHD Podcast: Living With Inattentive ADHD – Cynthia Hammer, MSW
Mina Boazak, MD
Welcome to Thriving with ADHD dear ADHD community. This time we have a special guest, outside of our Animo Sano team. It’s our pleasure to introduce you to Cynthia Hammer, MSW, Author of Living with Inattentive ADHD and Executive Director of Inattentive ADHD Coalition.
Since her youth, Cynthia Hammer was aware of her struggles with attention, concentration, and retaining information, yet it was only at the age of 49 that she was diagnosed with inattentive ADHD. While the revelation initially crushed her, it eventually allowed her to come to terms with the realities of her situation. She learned new ways to reduce the negative effects of the condition through new behaviors and habits.
Today, she embraces life with a newfound vibrancy, even discovering a sense of humor and positive aspects of living with ADHD.
Because Cynthia was so generous with sharing her knowledge and experiences, we decided to make two parts out of this episode. All we can say now is that you are in for a real treat.
