Animo Sano Psychiatry team is growing. We’re excited to welcome our new MD, Sindhura Kunaparaju! We had the pleasure to talk with Sindhura about her life and experience and learn more about what motivated her to become a part of our team. Here’s Sindhura’s inspiring story.
1. What inspired you to pursue a career in mental healthcare and what brought you to Animo Sano Psychiatry?
I have always been interested in healing and especially mental health since I come from a family of spiritually inclined people and meditators. I have always been interested in teaching and I came to Animo Sano to continue teaching by providing supervision
2. What motivates you?
Prevention really motivates me and working with children.
3. Tell us something about you that would surprise us?
I love playing badminton.
4. What words of wisdom do you live by?
” Love all Serve All “
5. Share a recent “proud moment.”
Recent proud moment when I was able to help a teenager motivated to go to college.
6. Share any volunteer or charity efforts you’re involved in.
I work for a non for profit organization and teach occasionally in rural counties of North Carolina.
