Animo Sano Psychiatry is excited to welcome Sarah “Sally” Creekmore, Certified Physician Assistant, to the team! Sally comes to us from Virginia, where she began her career as a Psychiatric Physician’s Assistant as part of multidisciplinary teams serving patients in both acute care and outpatient settings. Here are a few things you should know about Sally.
Inspiration to pursue a career in healthcare
Sally’s love for medicine and helping people began at a young age. While growing up in Virginia, her grandfather often shared his excitement and love of being a physician with her which she found contagious. She began exploring the idea of becoming a Physician Assistant while completing her Bachelor’s Degree at Virginia Tech.
Start in healthcare
After college, she began working as a scribe in the emergency department and found the same love and excitement for being a medical provider that her grandfather originally shared. She completed her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies at Jefferson College of Health Sciences. During that time, she developed a passion for psychiatry and enjoyed getting to know her patients while helping them achieve their goals.
She began working in psychiatry in Virginia Beach and recognized a need for a more personalized care approach for individuals with ADHD. She is excited to connect with her patients and help them become the best versions of themselves at Animo Sano Psychiatry!
