Animo Sano Psychiatry team is growing. We’re excited to welcome our new Administrative Assistant, Leslie Anne Tribunal! We had the pleasure to talk with Leslie about her life and experience and learn more about what motivated her to become a part of our team. Here’s Leslie’s inspiring story.
1. What inspired you to pursue a career in mental healthcare and what brought you to Animo Sano Psychiatry?
I have been a customer representative in the healthcare industry for almost 4 years. While my expertise primarily involves providing benefits information, I have also acquired some knowledge in mental health services. This is one of the reasons I pursued joining the team. Over time, I have found myself increasingly interested in mental health. I enjoy watching movies related to mental health and reading quotes/sayings about mental well-being.
2. What motivates you?
My family is the source of my motivation. I aspire to pamper and indulge them, allowing them to experience the things I have enjoyed. Providing a comfortable home and life for them, particularly for my parents, is my ultimate goal. Witnessing their smiles every time we dine out or explore new places fuels my determination to work hard.
3. Share a recent “proud moment.”
I have always dreamed of having a place to call my own, even since I was a child. In October 2023, I took a significant step toward that dream by purchasing a 150 sqm lot for myself. Although I am still making monthly payments, the fact that I now have something I can call my own is one of my proudest moments.
4. Share any volunteer or charity efforts you’re involved in.
One of my dreams when I was younger was to volunteer for charity work. My first experience with charity work dates back to December 2019 when we distributed slippers and small gifts to some kids in a nearby community. We also visited areas damaged by a typhoon, providing used clothes and food. Additionally, we volunteered in seeking sponsors to assist people affected by a fire. The most recent charity work took place in December 2023 when we visited a small school and gave gifts to some children. Seeing them smile makes me happy. Hopefully, we can continue to do this in 2024.
