A Warm Welcome to Crystal Love Camarig, Administrative Assistant

Crystal Love Camarig - Administrative Assistant

Animo Sano Psychiatry team is growing. We’re excited to welcome our new Administrative Assistant, Crystal Love Camarig! We had the pleasure to talk with Crystal about her life and experience and learn more about what motivated her to become a part of our team. Here’s Crystal’s inspiring story.

1. What inspired you to pursue a career in mental healthcare and what brought you to Animo Sano Psychiatry?

I was inspired to seek a career in mental health by my own experience, in which I also dealt with Postpartum Depression after giving birth to my child. I occasionally have mood swings and moments when I am unable to comprehend my own emotions so I can say that I can totally relate with the patients. Therefore, a career in mental health gives me the chance to provide a support that can change a person’s life. In addition, the company’s commitment to offering high-quality, easily-accessible patient care as well as the positive workplace culture it fosters for its workers are what initially drew me to Animo Sano. I also appreciate that the staff consists of knowledgeable individuals who collaborate to deliver top-notch customer service and medical care.

2. What motivates you?

My inspiration for work comes from my family, especially my 8-month-old daughter and my hospitalized father. I want them to live a life filled with many enjoyable and unforgettable experiences. I wanted to be able to meet their needs and give them a better life.

3. Tell us something about you that would surprise us?

You might be surprised to learn that I have a lot of patience, especially when dealing with others. When I worked as a trainer for my previous job, I was able to adopt this kind of trait. Despite being put to the test, I was able to adjust by maintaining my composure and grace under pressure. My sole outlet for frustration after a stressful day at work is to vent to my friends or loved ones.

4. What words of wisdom do you live by?

I believe in the saying, “This too shall pass.” Every time I am facing difficulties in my life, I constantly tell myself that things aren’t always like this, that this is only a chapter in my life, and that everything will turn out just great. Even if today is awful, tomorrow will probably be the happiest day of your life. All we have to do is persevere and keep the faith.

5. Share a recent “proud moment.”

A trainee who was a newbie to the industry at my old job wrote me a letter about his experience in the BPO and how I was able to motivate and inspire him to push himself and reach his potential. I constantly got to encourage him to engage with people and give him advice on his faults because he was an introvert and fairly frightened. The good news is that he was able to utilize it and embrace it positively, which enabled him to execute and do an excellent job throughout the entire course. Being able to see that someone appreciated my efforts in assisting them in learning made me happy and proud to be a trainer.

6. Share any volunteer or charity efforts you’re involved in.

I’ve always participated in our school’s outreach initiatives dating back to my time in college, which strives to give kids access to education in remote locations. Grade school children participated in enrichment activities by attending group lectures on topics including reading, writing, counting, and resolving mathematical puzzles.
